Kids' World

Emerson kids and parents love Kids’ World! Our beloved after-school learning program serves Emerson students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The program is primarily funded by the California Department of Education, the After School Learning Program, parent fees (based on a sliding scale), and augmented by additional resources. The program is designed to be an extension of the school day. By working directly with teachers, staff, and specific site-based programs, we nurture students’ learning. Each day, our children can be found doing sports, games, drama, languages, and of course, their homework.

Our fundamental goal is supporting children in reaching their full potential by providing academic, recreational, and cultural enrichment. We constantly strive to improve communication between Emerson and the families we serve.

PTA After-School Classes

PTA after-school classes are discontinued for the 2024- 2025 school year due to a lack of volunteers to organize and supervise the program. Please see the “Table of After School Options” above or contact Kid’s World to explore alternative child care options.
